Holiday Parenting Time Schedule for Child Custody Cases

Holiday parenting time schedules are typically standardized in most counties. These holiday schedules aim to alternate holidays so that if one parent enjoys a holiday with their children in one year, the other parent will enjoy that holiday the following year. This schedule can of course be modified if both parents agree based on their individual family traditions, but below is a typical holiday schedule. This is typically used in addition to a regular parenting time schedule.

The spring, summer and winter vacation periods shall be determined based on the school district in which the child attends school, or for minor children not of school age, the district in which the minor child resides. The first day of the school vacation period shall be deemed to commence at 6:00 p.m. on the last day of school and to end at 6:00 p.m. on the last day prior to the child’s return to school.
